Quirky, weird and reclusive are words that come to mind when trying to describe Frank Hebly. Playing Bass, Drums, Keyboards and Guitar, his tiny studio does not contain a computer, except for a very fat drumcomputer. None of that matters when you hear his first (and so far only) outing on Magnetron; Tuinslangboogie (Tuinslang meaning garden hose).
Even though it’s very slow for a regular dancefloor, it rocks so hard that nobody seems to mind. Especially when the full beat kicks in, it caises guaranteed mayhem. Slow Acid-funk extraordinaire. This track was one of Rough Trades best selling 12” in 2007 and is still highly sought after.
