Sofie Winterson’s music creates a cinematic world through atmospheric key sounds, electronic drums, reverbed guitars and her powerful, beautiful voice. She draws inspiration from a mix of shoegaze, dream pop and folk acts like Mazzy Star, Beach House, Alvvays, Big Thief, Whitney and Real Estate.

Since her first releases in 2014, she continued to garner an online following fanbase with encouraging nods from the likes of Gorilla vs Bear, who said: “Dreams is the beautiful new 3-song EP from Amsterdam synth-pop artist Sofie Winterson, out on Dutch label Magnetron Music. Lasting just over 10 minutes and starting with the lovely, glimmering title track, the whole thing is a graceful, fleeting, achingly melancholy affair”. Other notable supporters include Clash Music, Nowness and The 405. Sofie is from Amsterdam but also resides in Los Angeles where she found like minds in music.
